Chief Executive Officer
Welcome to PPC Personalized Private Care, LLC. Let me help you get to know us a little better. My professional background extends back 30 years of nursing, primarily in Home Health, Hospice, and Palliative Care. I have worked and lived in the Berkshires for many years. I also have traveled and worked both Statewide and Nationally, developing and overseeing community health programs. I received my Doctorate of Nursing Practice in 2010 from the University of Massachusetts, specializing in Public Health Nursing Practice with a focus on Chronic Disease Management from a holistic perspective. My son Robert McClelland, RN is also joining me to assist with quality care delivery and program oversight.
On a personal note, years ago my mother required home care in my home. She lived with our family for almost five years. At the time, I had a busy young family and was thankful to have the resources to provide private care for my mom. Lynda, our private caregiver, was my right hand, and my mom loved her. She delivered care that gave me the reassurance that my mom was well cared for during the times that I couldn’t be by her side. From my mother’s perspective, she felt relieved that someone else could help with some of her needs and take some of the burden off from me. Though I never felt burdened, she felt the care to be a gift and maybe a little more time for me to spend as her daughter, having an additional cup of tea. My hope is that we can touch other lives just as our family had been touched by Lynda years ago. Our staff is highly trained as Personal Care Specialists and we will only send you caregivers that I would have chosen for my own mom.
